This Privacy Policy explains how Press Monkey Media LLC ("Press Monkey", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website and services. We keep the data we collect to a minimum and don't sell it to anyone.

1. What we collect

What you give us:

• Account data (name, email address, password)
• Campaign briefs, press release drafts, and company info you submit
• Payment info (processed by our payment provider; we don't store card details)
• Messages you send via the contact form

What we collect automatically:

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, campaign activity
• Device info: browser type, OS, IP address
• Analytics via Vercel Analytics (anonymized, no third-party tracking pixels)

Email integration:

If you connect Gmail or Outlook via OAuth, we request only the permissions needed to send pitches and follow-ups from your account. We don't read, store, or process emails that have nothing to do with your campaigns.

• To send automated pitches and follow-ups on your behalf
• To process payments and manage your subscription

• To improve the product (through anonymized usage data)

3. Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only when necessary:

• Service providers: vendors who process data on our behalf (payment processing, email delivery, cloud hosting)
• Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, or court order
• Business transfers: if we merge, get acquired, or sell assets, we'll notify affected users in advance

4. The journalist database

Our journalist database is built from publicly available sources. Journalists or podcast hosts who want to be removed can request it via the contact form. We process removal requests within 30 days.

5. How long we keep data

We keep your account data while your account is active. After you delete your account, we delete personal data within 90 days, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Campaign data (pitch history, coverage records) may be kept in anonymized form to improve the product.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Ask us to delete your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Get your data in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent where we're processing based on consent
